Anjuli Mack has cracked the code on achieving the 'perfect body' in a mere matter of seconds. Her trick? Simply lie. The New Zealand fitness coach revealed how deceptive “before and after” images can be on social media by showing the ways her physique appears completely different with a slightly different pose. In side-by-side images of herself shared on Instagram, Mack appears to have two different body types. Yet she quickly dismisses the assumption, writing “this is not a before and after.” READ MORE: * [52]Shelley and Steve Ferguson sell their resort-style home for $2.258 million * [53]If there is life on Venus, how could it have got there? Origin of life experts explain * [54]Baby conjoined twins in the US separated in 'extrodinary, emotional' 11 hour surgery “Companies prey on people desperate for a quick fix but in reality this is just puffing out & then sucking in," Mack writes, adding the images were taken "seconds apart". The personal trainer explains she merely breathed out and let her stomach fall naturally in the first image, before twisting her body to create the illusion of a dramatic transformation for the second picture. Mack says the way people manipulate poses and images on social media can cause a number of insecurities, including among her 154,000 followers. The workout guru regularly receives questions about stomach rolls and bloated tummies from her followers. “Social media and magazines are not real life," she writes in response. “It is curated to what someone wants you to see. You will never see 100 per cent of someone's life online." Instead of focusing on distorted images, Mack shares a list of five key points she wants people to remember when they work out, including "carbs are not the enemy." “Focus on YOU," she writes. “Don't try to copy XYZ, fad diets or waste money on juice detoxes. Just get a plan in place & stick to it." Mack also encourages people to be “kind" when it came to their health journeys, reminding them, “Years from now you won't care about the occasional night you 'fell off your diet'. You want to remember the lifetime memories made with loved ones.” She adds that she wouldn't be surprised if “fad diet, keto detoxes and random overseas supplement companies" stole her photo and used it to "promote their own agenda."
