2025-08-01 Fake Modules

Inventing module names and elevator pitches based on the covers of
the longest running science fiction series, Perry Rhodan. A random
cover is provided and off we go. (We play this on the Grenzland
Discord server, the idea is by somebody else.)

A cover showing a stegosaurus, a brontosaurus (?), a stone arch like
one would see it at the Ardèche in France, some volanos in the
distance and a flying golf-ball with antennas. The title of vol. 780
is "Die Testwelt".

My entry: "Ugh Nugh and the bleeping Invasion: Gather your stoner
friends, pick up those spears and travel through the subterranean
dinosaur refuge to find the source of the flying drones that keep
pestering your tribe. Infiltrate the lair of the rocket men and wrest
the eye of eyes from their cold gauntlets and return your land to
peace and quiet. A 16 page module for Wolf Packs & Winter Snow and
other old school role-playing games."

This is the inspiration for 2025-07-27 My One Page Dungeon Contest
submission.

Perry Rhodan cover 2466 is titled "Galaxis der Antikrieger" and shows
a bald, stocky guy with a read beard in a white space suite.

My entry: "Cryolab of the Fire Giants: The Red Beards have set up a
research lab in a very, very cold layer of hell. Infiltrate their
fortress and find the principal of their operation. The Lady of Water
wants to know. A 16 page Planescape module."

A spaceship that looks like a robot head with an astroid belt in the
back and a shining sun. This is issue 1956/7 of Perry Rhodan, titled
“Das Haus der Nisaaru”

My entry: “House of the Ioun Lord: At the centre of the wheel of time
sits the dead Ioun Lord on his Throne of Darkness, orbited by a
thousand glittering gems – riches untold and magic of the highest
order, ripe for the taking. Come along for the greatest grave robbery
of 2025! An 8-page dungeon of trickery and high level sorcery by
Benoit Thulson for characters level 8–12.”

2025-08-26. German!

Mein Beitrag:

“Das Auge von Ap-Nušūr: Revolution in Berg-Amon! Der Verwalter des
himmlischen Friedens hat sich verschätzt und eine Palastrevolte
ausgelöst. Das ist der Moment, auf den der Pate gewartet hat. Jetzt
gilt es, in den Tempel der Nós einzudringen und das Auge von Ap-Nušūr
zu klauen. Wer ist mit dabei?”

Oh, missed the entry from last week! Not a Perry Rhodan cover but
Moebius.

My submission:

"To steal the Sun for the Queen of the Moon. For you to be knighted in
Lunaria, the Queen asks for but a trifle: To steal the Sun Shard of
Helios. Avoid the petrifying light of the Blue Moon. Avoid the Golden
Hunters of Quaramore. Take shelter under the Opium Tree. Risk
everything for Love and Nobility! Join us in the Celestial Realm. For
adults level 9–15."

2025-09-23. The next entry is Run Away You Fool by Don Maitz.

A golden giant gecko or toad head in a jungle and half-naked man with
a sword in his hand a feather in his hear is facing it

My submission:

"The Golden Basilisk: Every two score years the light of the red moon
summons the golden basilisk. And like your parents' generation before
you, your must go out and defeat it. Who will be this generation's
champion? And what else is moving through the woods under the blood
red moon? An adventure for troupe style play with up to twenty
characters levels 1–3."
