By:QPI --------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------- This Bill Is More Important Than Lon Mabon Gays and Lesbians and their supporters seem more ready to fight Lon Mabon than to make sure he's thwarted before he even stars. IF the state has a civil rights bill in which Gays and Lesbiansare protected, Mabons'"county by county" strategy will fall flat on its face. Supporters of the bill can call now, and show their Senators show much then want his protection written into the state's civil rights bill. Momentum is building all across Washington state for passage of the Gay/Lesbian civil rights bill, as one powerful entity after another throws its support behind the bill. But passage of the bill should not be taken for granted. The civil rights bill (HB1443) that includes "sexual orientation" as a protected class against discrimination is now in the Senate and will be voted on within the next two weeks. After 15 year of discussion it is time for the state legislature to act. Call for Gay/Lesbian Civil Rights NOW!!!
