    My "Soae" of 4/1/95 apparently caused quite a stir among the
    readers, even to the point of getting the attention of Heaven's
    Metal editor Doug Van Pelt himself.. I have to admit, that is
    quite a feat to perform.. However, I am sorry if I upset folks
    with my seemingly harmless prank.. I always do a joke Soae
    every April Fool's Day, so please bear with me..
    
    The response to the "Your Own Festival" survey was
    staggering.. all one of them.. *sigh*
    
    Interest in Screams of Abel reached as far as Croatia this
    week! How cool!
    
    And finally, SOA staffer Miguel Seabra e Melo may soon be
    writing your next
    game you play after reading Soae!

    This is the first time I've ever had to report anything 
    like this in Soae, and I sincerely hope it will be the
    last.. former ANTIC drummer Paul Barton was killed by a
    head-on collision with a cement mixer.. expressions of

    REZ is to go on a 40-city U.S. tour with WHITECROSS this
    fall..
    
    Invasion '95 will be held in August at Jefferson County
    Fairgrounds in Brookville, PA.. LOVEWAR and a DANIEL BAND
    reunion are scheduled..

    CRIMSON THORN are to play the SonShine Festival in Willmar,

    Once again, LIVING SACRIFICE cancelled another concert,

    NONPOINT FACTOR will be in concert at the Vertical
    Lighthouse in Cary NC on Sat Apr 8..
    
    FOCUSED, SOUL FOOD and more will be at a 3-day festival

    BARREN CROSS, Lancaster YFC, Lancaster PA Sat Apr 1..
    
    Everything old is new again.  It's the best when you pop
    in an old tape that you dug years ago and all the sweetest
    memories come back of the "good ol' days" and you enjoy it
    all over again.  That tape for me was BARREN CROSS, "State
    Of Control". The biggest thrill for me this year (after
    hearing about the Michigan Mosh Fest) in terms of metal
    was when I found out the original BC would grace the
    stage of Lancaster YFC in PA.  Knowing this was no
    April Fools, my church friends and I made an evening of
    a classic concert.  It was as if they never broke up! 
    Tight, real tight, and the stage antics were so cool, 
    even down to bassist Jim Laverde bouncing all over the
    stage with his wireless bass, even into the pit! Mixed
    with their old favorites ("Cultic Regimes", "Dead Lock",
    "Thief In The Night") were new ones like "Here I Am"
    and "Rattle Your Cage" from the new one, "Rattle Your
    Cage".  The acoustic beauty, "Wingless Plane", drew me
    back to memories of flashing cigarette lighters held
    high.  Starting off with "The Stage of Intensity",
    Barren Cross didn't let up til the very end and their
    energy, professionalism, and above all, their desire to
    glorify God.  May BC never break up again! Ok, next I
    work on SACRED WARRIOR..
