I am atyh, and I live on a couple acres of rural land with
my best friend, an Australian Shepherd, and a bunch of
entertaining chickens. We grow food, spend alot of time
outside, and to the best of our ability, try to live simple
lives of peace. We've got a couple solar panels, some water
collection, and a squirel who regularly tries to sneak into
my house and steal my cheese. I enjoy doing things by hand,
and creating simple, sustainable, and reliable ways of doing
things.
I enjoy minimal but complete operating systems like OpenBSD,
and 9Front. I have a bunch of old Thinkpads, and enjoy
building simple alternatives to big proprietary software,
using old unix tools, and simple shell scripts.
To put it in the words of Old Man Kinkade from the James
Bond movie Skyfall, "When all else fails, sometimes the old
ways are the best."
