# 2024-03-07 Why Is AuraGem Now Open Source?

Note: Leetaur wrote a response to this post (which, as you can see below, I have deleted, because it no longer applies) that incorrectly claims I am "quitting Gemini, due to its liberal bias." I have responded to them here:

Tl;dr: My reasons for quitting at the time had nothing to do with the "liberal-bias," especially when *I am liberal*, it was about exclusivity and other problems within Geminispace at the time, which, btw, is opposite of conservatism, which tends to be more exclusivist, especially at its most extreme, so Leetaur's charge doesn't even make any sense to begin with.
