I did not really think he was looking for a parade.  Criticism of ideas is
to be expected, but not some of the pissing he got here.

I agree.  That said, from some of the responses here, you'd think that
reviving the Gazette was going to do serious harm to the responders in some
way.  "People have tried it before and it didn't go well, so manage your
expectations and good luck" would have been enough.
