Slavery was mentioned in social studies books, but there was no such things as black history month, sexual preference month, or racially segregated field trips. All that stuff emerged sometime after I graduated in 1998.

That's part of the miseducation problem; the old plan was to inform us about slavery and the new plan is to make everyone pay for it like we're the ones who were cracking the whips, like the victims are still alive, and we're still guilty of it even if we're Republican voters from northern states.

We actually need new laws to protect against racial exploitation, particularly in universities, research centers, and in the media.
