Debian has a hair up their ass again and are making unneeded changes because 
of their love of systemd and it is a hassle.  Slackware is just very slow with 
updates.

Unline GNU/Linux, FreeBSD is an actual OS where everything just works instead 
of depedency hell.  It's easy (for me) to work on and use plus it's much 
better documented.

There's a big push with FreeBSD to make it more "desktop-friendly" recently 
and more laptop-friendly to the tune of $750,000 being pledged this year 
towards those goals.
