I'll tell you a secret, when I went to school, I was taught the metric system. In fact, there's even a US interstate that uses all-metric measurements: US Interstate 19. In IT, we used the metric system a lot. Now DST is a different thing: there is a bill in Congress but it has been stalled for decades. Why? Lobbyists from the energy companies. I hate DST. When I lived in Arizona, I didn't have to worry about it as that state does not use DST. DST was good for the farmers in the 1800s but it, much like modern labor unions, has no place in modern times.
