The answers to today's Strands, game #606, are CHOICE OPTION DRUTHERS

Strands stumped me today, for the second day in succession. 

Fortunately, I managed to find plenty of non-game words, including the 
9-letter reception. If Id have looked harder at this stage I might have seen 
OPTION sooner. Instead, it took me a hint before I realized what the theme 
was. 

After my initial triumph I took another hint and thank goodness I did  
because DRUTHERS is one of those words that only exist in New York Times 
puzzle games and Stephen Fry novels. Yesterday's NYT Strands answers 
(Wednesday, October 29, game #605) FEATHERED BLACK WINGED CLEVER OMNIVEROUS 
SPANGRAM: THATSSORAVEN What is NYT Strands? 

Strands is the NYT's not-so-new-any-more word game, following Wordle and 
Connections. It's now a fully fledged member of the NYT's games stable that 
has been running for a year and which can be played on the NYT Games site on 
desktop or mobile.
