                                 An Act

  
 
  To provide for the addition of the Truman Farm Home to the Harry S 
Truman

            National Historic Site in the State of Missouri.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. PROPERTY ACQUISITION

    The first section of the Act entitled ``An Act to establish the 
Harry S Truman National Historic Site in the State of Missouri, and for 
other purposes'', approved May 23, 1983 (97 Stat. 193), is amended by 
adding at the end the following:
    ``(c) The Secretary is further authorized to acquire from Jackson 
County, Missouri, by donation, the real property commonly referred to as 
the Truman Farm Home located in Grandview, Jackson County, Missouri, 
together with associated lands and related structures, comprising 
approximately 5.2 acres.
    ``(d) The Secretary is authorized and directed to provide 
appropriate political subdivisions of the State of Missouri with 
technical and planning assistance for the development and implementation 
of plans, programs, regulations, or other means for minimizing the 
adverse effects on the Truman Farm House of the development and use of 
adjacent lands.''.
