Apollo software
Well, the Apollo software is presently "working", at least to some degree.
I personally have seen remote file accesses in a two-node configuration
(in this case, editing of files physically stored on another machine).
The syntax for filenames was "//<HOST>/<DIRECTORY SPECS>..."
