To clarify; This dish may sound similar to the famous and tasty pineapple upside-down cake but I don't suggest turning it out of the pan you bake it in onto another plate because there is quite a bit of fruit there on the bottom (2 cans). You're likely to wind up with a mush that tastes good but looks icky. The way we make it, you get something like cobbler but faster and easier. You can grease the pan if you want to, but its not really neccessary since the fruit remains very juicy on the bottom and doesn't stick. The cake may stick a little around the edges but it's real buttery and we haven't seen much problem.
