"Its" is the posessive form. It is used for such constructions as "..its processor is wedged.." "It's" is a contraction of "It is". It cannot be used as a synonym for "its". It's (sic) bad grammar not to use each word in its (sic) proper place. Of course there are those who feel that grammar and spelling are irrelevant, oppressive tools of the egghead academicians, and they aren't listening to me anyway. *sigh*. --Berry Kercheval, Zehntel Inc. ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
