I have ACTUALLY SEEN ARTICLES dated FROM THE FUTURE. The first time I saw an article dated "Saturday n+1" on a Friday the nth, I immediately saved it and considered how to exploit this phe- nomenon. Could I, perhaps, write a filter 'warp' to send data back and forth through time? How about all my late homework? Alas, all the affected articles came substantially eastward from me, and I was witnessing nothing more than netnews flying faster than the rotation of the earth (still impressive, though). Incidentally, how does the ARPA standard handle differing time zones? (Reply to me, not the net, and if there's enough interest ... ) Michael Chastain Cory.cc-18@Berkeley ucbvax!Cory:cc-18 ----------------------------------------------------------------- gopher://quux.org/ conversion by John Goerzen of http://communication.ucsd.edu/A-News/ This Usenet Oldnews Archive article may be copied and distributed freely, provided: 1.
