Correction to my ridiculous non-fix to readr.c
That last "fix" I sent out was obviously complete  garbage.  Here's the right
one (though I haven't yet tested it, either!).   "sysname" is never set by
non-USG sites;  v7's little uname.c just sets "nodename."  Been up too long.
Now I could use this little cancel cmd here...
