Brcon2024: Hackathon Results Summary

Brcon2024 is done for five days. Still we are working on the results and
how much was produced in impressions, code, fun, memes and more.

Thanks to everyone who participated online and offline!

This article will summarize all results of the hackathons:

## Annna
### Bach Module
Thanks to adc we now have a huge collection of bach music ready to be
used for more filtering!

### Zen Module
Not done, but we had a brain fuckery over it and further thought through
how to integrate it into annna.

### Moksha Patuma IdleRPG
Not done. Out of the thinking

DotG 3 resulted.

### Mpdtube for annna
We had prework on mpd now being used for backend of bitreich. During
brcon2024 the download and queue management was added. Perfect.

### Annna Direct Speaking
Works perfectly. Was used during brcon2024 for presentations.

## Catpoint
### Add Animation Support
Works. This was extended to work for the brcon ads too.

### VTV supports
Comes automatically with the animation support.

### Extended event support
The modular filter support (run some script) in catpoint allows this too.

## CICD for bitreich
Not done. Was considered too easy  to do.

## Gopher
### GopherVR
Many different work was done during brcon2024. The problem is
standardisation and how to present the objects.

### GopherVR on VR devices
Will follow GopherVR automatically when done right.

### Gopher Clustering
Not done.

### IFDP Fiction
gopher://mozz.us:7006/1/ implements this for all needs already.

### Pharos Internet Archive
Works, is done.

## Gopherproxy
### Add gophers:// support.
Half done patch is here in my repository. Will fix when after work for
brcon is done.

## hurl
### Just for Fun
Done. It was funny.

### Coffee Machine Support.
No coffee machine there for this. We did Theremin hacking instead.

## Ideas by OpenAI
We concluded it all was done. See recordings on hackathon summary.

## Meme
### Text Memes
Prompts work.

### Meme Beautifier
Works.

### Meme Meme Service
Not done.

### 3D Memes
This interconnects with GopherVR. We had a nice session on 4D movies and
memes with ASCII representation for ads. This will conclude to something
bigger.
We are missing GPU power for txt to 3d at the moment.

## Meme Seminar
### Meme Seminar Slides
Alpha stage is done here.
Meme tools seminar examples were prepared. More to come.

### Meme Great Schema Garment
It was a funny session to discuss this. :-)

## MQTT
Some instant hackathon that was added because of adc's slide.

Bitreich now has its own MQTT running in the background.
There is a webcam script to ASCII-stream your webcam over mqtt.
We had fun killing and keeping happy tamagotchis over mqtt.
There is a mqtt-wrapper for easily putting every stdin/stdout program to
mqtt.

Not done. We will do it again on a different occasion


Summary:

So much was done! It was hard to keep track of all the changes. Working
on one project brought up ideas for others. See the Bitreich news for
what other ideas sparked from the brcon2024 momentum of motivation. It is
the reason why this article is a bit late: Motivation for a better
future!

All hackathons are still open. They are ideas to make things permanent
bitreich projects or your own project.

Thanks again to everyone who participated! It is a conference we all will
