[=x=-=x=-=x=-=x=-=x=-=x=-=x=-=x=-=x=-=x=-=x=-=x=-=x=-=x=-=x=-=x=-=x=] The phlogospehere...it's taking me back to when I had my first web page...well at least creating something that would be online. I created one way back when and I guess I slowly ceased development with the advent of web 2.0 and all of the social media stuff. My site stayed around for a bit, but it did not really get many updates or anything. I did play around with some of the "newer" technologies, like putting a blog on my server with moveabletype or messing around with phpbb, xoops, etc. All of this stuff seemed a bit much for what I needed and it became more work and less content with all of the maintenance and spam. Plus, it seemed as if personal web pages were going away and people's attention were focused on social media sites. Also, life in the analog was ramping up...I had spawned 2 child processes and had to attend to them since they were very, very resource intensive, espcially in those days. So publishing web content took a back seat. Now I am back to content creation...not that I have anything great to say, but it gives me an outlet that has been minimally existent over the years. The technological medium of the expression is not so important, as long as the contents inside my head is translated into common language, processed, and expressed. This provides some order to the chaos and prevents the manifestation of unnessesary inauspicious emotions, sideways anger, stress, and frustruation from being expressed at or in the vincinity of the child, parent, (and federated? ) processes. I have always enjoyed writing, especially if the conditions are ideal. I have kept journals, probably since the dawn of my need for self identity, self expression, self understanding of my experience of this existence and its inhabitants. Writing has been a good outlet for me for expressing that which cannot be contained. As well as other trivial nonsense. Vocalization and sociability? Thats a different story...for another time. With the phlogosphere,, I have enjoyed the undistracted experience of your written thoughts and ideas through this medium. You have my full attention, literally. In this age of distraction, of social media, targeted advertising, multiple computing devices, multiple display configurations, multiplexed screen sessions, virtual machines, virtual desktops, cloud computing, etc., I found it appropriate to drop this experience of consuming the phlogosphere and gopherspace in general, down to single-user mode...and give full undivided attention, akin to that of a Friday night binge watch of the second season of Stranger Things on Netflix on the couch in my family room. Single monitor, single console displayed at full screen, single attached keyboard, complete undivided attention, I assure you! THat last paragraph was quite wordy, was it not? So be it.
