Actually, I'm Switzerland in WWII but without the beautiful scenery, lol. Still, I'm happy to be here!
I've been away for just over a week, and not only did I miss the Royal Wedding [I'm prepared to find UK TV presenters telling me I live under a rock for the next few weeks ::)], I clearly missed what was happening here. I'm wishing all sites well, but felt I'd settled in here, so really hope this one settles down to be my new internet "home".
I just looked at the badges under my post, and I'm branded a spammer. :'( :'( :'( I got so excited when this site was set up, I was replying to topics like crazy. I suppose I can't be that excited? I'm not a spammer, promise. :'(
Did it block you at all or restrict you? I'd probably take that as a little tongue-in-cheek. 25 doesn't seem that crazy (if you're having conversations, etc). If all 25 were about making thousands of dollars working from home, then I'll call you a spammer. :) #Post#: 3398-------------------------------------------------- Re: Welcome--starting over... again! It was all so brand new, and I was so giddy after the dismay about the old forum going. :-[ If I knew how to make thousands of dollars working from home, I'd be working at becoming a millionaire, not posting on an etiquette forum! ;) ;D ;D ;D #Post#: 3414-------------------------------------------------- Re: Welcome--starting over... again! By: LadyX Date: May 24, 2018, 12:01 pm --------------------------------------------------------- I tried to disable to the "spammer" badge! ::) Didn't work, but I think I set things up so that you are not restricted in making as many posts as you want. If anyone has an issue, just let me know. The number of posts restrictions are for over a certain length of time so someone can't just come in and paste and post over and over again. But, wear your spammer badge with honor--here it doesn't mean the same thing! #Post#: 3416-------------------------------------------------- Re: Welcome--starting over... again! Presumably they're trying to cut down on true spammers, which wouldn't include admins of forums. #Post#: 3450-------------------------------------------------- Re: Welcome--starting over... again! By: Octavia Date: May 24, 2018, 9:35 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Holy wow! I go away for three days and everything went to :P In all seriousness, I'm sorry to see that things deteriorated so badly. I wish people had more patience and didn't expect everything to be perfect right away. I'm currently working at a start-up that's been in existence a little over a year. Our small group regularly has spirited debates about the mission, vision, and approach to the organization. These things don't shake out over night! And good entrepreneurs wouldn't dream of shutting down a start-up if it's not a fully-formed organization after only two weeks. IMO, this forum is a type of start-up. The participants have to negotiate the mission, vision, etc. at the beginning, and then continue to do so after operations are underway. There will be friction and messiness. Some things won't get resolved right away, certainly not within the first two weeks. And that's normal. You wouldn't shut down a start-up company after only two weeks. You wouldn't wrench a newborn out of its mother's arms and put it up for adoption if after only two weeks she is struggling to nurse the baby. I'm therefore advocating patience and a willingness to find common ground so we can build a healthy forum over time ;) #Post#: 3545-------------------------------------------------- Re: Welcome--starting over... again!
