The Spartan Assault Stock Market "Spartan 500" is looking for investors and businesses to begin shifting their eyes to this region and keep an economy pushing forward. It's a wild, untame land, populated by small pockets of townships and local wildlife. This land is cut short of democracy; out of reach of the developed world. Here, it's the wild west, laws are few and far in between. In order to maintain your business, you'll have to prove your worth by any means necessary. This is Operation War Incorporated. Below you'll find your reports and forms needed to secure a slot as a developing business in Mill's Stream, as well as the few laws and legislation that apply to this land. In order to play you MUST have a signed waiver (signed by legal parent or guardian if under 18), which can be found here (click the file link to download it) : HTML http://spartanassault.com/HQ/index.php?topic=10409.msg105266#msg105266 In order to simplify the day, we will do a short and streamlined safety briefing, covering a few short topics and the rules of the game. Please familiarize yourself with the rules- you are responsible for learning them and playing responsibly. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask. Mill's Stream rules can be found here: HTML http://spartanassault.com/HQ/index.php?topic=10848.0 Objective: Bring your business to the top of the stock market by successfully completing missions, fulfilling contracts, selling ores, holding bases, gaining money and increasing your company's ticker price value. Banks will be available to secure your deposits in your company's account. The company with the highest stock market ticker price wins the investments of governments worldwide, securing them as one of the most valuable companies in the Spartan 500. This is an open world format game. At the end of the day, the company with the greatest value will be considered the "winner". When capturing bases, simply have someone in the base sign your company name just below where the last team signed on the paper within the base, and include the time. Some bases are worth different amounts, but will vary anywhere between $10,000 an hour and $50,000 an hour. Ores are located throughout the field in quarries, marked off by poles, flagging tape, etc. Rarer, more valuable ores will have larger quarries and more, well-hidden placements. If you manage to collect some, bring them back to the bank and sell them for cash. Note: Ores are eventually (not necessarily immediately) redistributed, and their prices fluctuate depending on rarity; as quarries get picked over, the ore that belongs to that quarry becomes more and more expensive. It is highly important to keep track of the market to sell your ores at the highest price possible. As for other missions/side jobs, the unemployment office within the bank will have many different forms of missions, including missions for publicity, some for action, and some for some plain, brass-tacks business. Company Value: Every company will have their values monitored in the Spartan 500 stock market. It can increase or decrease, depending on the available funds in their bank accounts ($1000 in your bank account will raise your ticker price $10) and how outside events may affect them (For instance, if a firefight is overheard to be handled poorly by one company by the markets, their price can decrease, but if a company say, saved a civilian, their ticker price may increase). When funds are gained, either through chance, stealing them from a dead player (see below), completing an objective, etc., you will be given a "bank note" (a piece of paper with a signature from the role player, and an official "seal") with a signature and amount. The company can then deposit it into their bank account. You may steal banknotes from dead players by asking for them or searching. All bank notes must be stored in an appropriate place, and respect is required from someone searching for banknotes. If an objective is failed, your ticker price may be damaged. Funds not in the bank by the end of the day do not contribute to the overall value of your company. Banking: There will be a bank in the field. Around it is a safe zone of 100ft. Please refrain from firing into, through, or within the safe zone. All guns should be on safe when within the bank. Goggles, safety glasses, masks, etc. must remain on at all times in the bank. If you wish to remove your safety gear, you must be in the parking lot. Money can be deposited by giving a signed bank note to the bank teller. You will receive a bank statement with the amount of cash in your account, and your updated ticker price will be seen on the board within the bank. Need a job? The bank has an unemployment facility that may be able to find work for you! In addition, you may cash in found ores and spare bandages for extra money. The bank is stationed at CP. Factions: Factions will consist of player-formed groups, and role players/Opfor (those who are looking to shoot and not make money. Must be in coordination with game runner). Roleplayers and Opfor are strictly under the command of game operators. They are not a money making faction and cannot win nor lose. Players of all experience welcome. Role players should be confident in their abilities and are restricted to civilian uniform only and will be identified by a colored armband. Responsibilities include creating immersive experiences for players, signing/adding official seals (stickers) to banknotes to validate them, or anything as simple as shooting and moving. The values of banknotes/payments are up to the roleplayer if a payment was not decided on/stated previously (They cannot exceed $100,000 each, and values are to be fair). They will have contact lists to reach out to players and give them jobs. Occasionally, your company may be called upon to act as roleplayers or Opfor for small amounts of cash in the event that more role players/opfor are needed. Registration: All businesses are required to register in the following format. NO WALK-ONS ALLOWED. We are capping the number of role players to twenty. Your business cannot consist of more than 10 people. Medical Benefits: Your companies are all set up to provide great medical care through SpartAid. You'll be able to recover from your worst ailments after receiving a simple bandage from your Human Resources rep! If you do find you need to take a sick day and recuperate (respawn) after about 180 seconds without any HR contact, you may go two hundred feet from your location away from bases, objectives, people, etc. and you will be well on your way to be back to work. You may buy and sell bandages at the bank. Note- prices fluctuate. Rules of Engagement: You are allowed to perform however you feel will maximize profits, but if word gets out that you fired first onto a peaceful group, it may be reflected in your company's value. The same rules apply for roleplayers and opfor; use your judgment. Don't make this a bad day for other players, but have fun! Weapon/Mag Restrictions: There will be no full-auto fire on this day other than by designated LMG weapons. All other weapons must be firing semi only or bolt action/spring. You may have as many midcap/lowcap magazines as you wish, but please do not carry more than one hicap. Please avoid a mix as well- you must pick one or the other.
