As the year comes to an end, progress has been made much slower
that at first thought (I'm sure I'm not alone in this
realisation) I have a VERY limited workshop space but I make it
work, here on the northeast coast of Scotland there are not many
       days I can work outside.
Great thanks to the guys at Gemini for building custom tie rod
tangs that enable me to make my front end work, how obliging
they are. My front end is almost complete throttle and brake
arrangement seems to be going to work so now I can turn it
around and work on the rear axle, engine and braking.
My hope is to have a frame that I can drive around the parking
lot by March and a finished Kart before we both complete another
       trip around the sun

Looks like good progress Paddy. I’ve found with photos it’s
works to download them to desktop & then upload to forum home
page. They then end up the correct way round.
Good luck with the rest of the project.
       Cheers Nick

Looking good! I have also bought a similar mini steering rack.
I like the way you have installed it high to keep it away from
your feet. I've just noticed that you are also in Scotland, but
you are about as far north of me as the Northern Englanders are
south of me! I seem to be in Cyclekarting no-man's-land!

The new year is looking quite promising and it begins to look
more like a Cycle kart, wheels always help.
The tyres are not exactly what I had in mind but the price was
right and they'll do for a start.
Because I have such limited space (garden shed) I can only work
on one end at a time and have to dismantle it to turn it around.
I set the engine and torque converter last week and it seems to
fit quite nicely but had to remove it to get the front end.
