Handbrake

Members might remember getting an email about a kit of parts to
make a handbrake and lots of people expressed an interest. Well
the first batch of parts are nearly ready and will be offered on
a first come, first served basis from the list - you'll get an
email and confirmation of the cost in due course.
There's lots of ways of detailing the handbrake to make it
unique to your cyclekart, but here's a photo of the parts
quickly put together

(excuse the Philips head screws - I was scrabbling for M4
screws)
The brake can pull a Bowden cable to pull on the footbrake (The
'Appleyard Design') or can pull a rod linkage from the bottom.

In case it's helpful to people, the spring I've used on this is
1mm wire x 7mm OD x 40mm length.
I bought mine on eBay

You must have been on the "nice list".
The kit is designed so that it can be used in all sorts of ways.
I'd be happy to talk you through it on a Zoom/Teams call. I'll
also try to put together some notes/photos.
