       Questions regarding new Power Menu.

Hi, so question regarding my engine was a 6.5 hp Honda gx 200
had fitted a "GX Tuning" stage 1 kit rated as 9.5 hp. Problem is
this kit included a CL1 camshaft, now does this need to be
removed or does this now become a GX Tuning moded engine with a
       starting score of 95 points?

The way I read it you'd be 95 points. Interested to see if I'm
       right 😂

       Clarification:
The GX tuning store engine mentioned in the Power Menu at the
start is the 9hp stage 1 engine...
  HTML https://www.gxtuningstoreuk.com/inc/sdetail/1203/1206
This does not have a cam mod.
The GX tuning stage 2 engine does have a CL1 cam and other
       modifications and produces 14HP
The GX tuning "stage 1 kit" is a kit you bolt on yourself and
states that 9.5HP for a GX200 is possible. This contains the cam
       Chris has.

The power menu is clear in that it states in the restrictions
"Do not deviate from the standard camshaft, the standard
       camshaft must be retained."
Hope this clarifies things a bit.

I empathise with those of you that will be impacted by the new
Power Menu and Power Declaration, but it was becoming apparent
that some engines were probably exceeding the 10hp limit. One
solution could have been to stipulate only standard engines, as
other countries do. However, we wanted to allow a scope of
tinkering that fits in with the cyclekarting ethos.
Advance notice of this was given on the Forum back in 13/8/24,
       with discussion continuing till 7/9/24.
In the meantime there has been a massive amount of effort by the
Committee to develop the Power Menu. This involved a great deal
of research, discussion with engine builders, and finally
extensive modification and dyno testing of an engine in various
       states of tune.
We are planning to have an explanatory brief at the AGM to help
people understand how the points system works and how to
       complete the Power Declaration Form.
