A step at a time

Mannix walked out into the night and smiled. He had decided to
go to the royal district tonight. Maybe he would go to a
senatorial debate in the royal complex or head over to the
suburban areas to see if any of the rich were holding parties
this night. Careful ears at a soiree would give him information
about the varous people and maybe he could discover more of
those with power, vampires of his power and lesser. Or maybe he
would just become inspired. It was all a possibility.

* as he walked about he found some interesting places and
people no one seemed to scream out vampire. Until he wandered
down a street us a stones throw from the palace was a building
labeled "" Paradise oblivion"". There was 2 people stand in
outside the place one male on female. Stopping some from
entering and letting in others with no discerning reason*

He watched the door for a while, using his blood to listen. Did
the two in front have heart beats, what color was their skin,
What did they smell of. He did the same to each person arriving.
Trying to pick a pattern of who entered and who didn't.

He frowned, but he also paid notice to who did not have heart
beats, making note that he would check on them later.
Meanwhile.. he decided to see what this place was. He stood and
walked toward the doors.

He blinked at that reaction. Still, he was there. He walked up
to the door and knocked.

"That is too bad. Any chance we could talk before you decide
this? Maybe I could speak to the owner."
He could have poured charm into it but thought it best not to
right now.
