Under the palace with a physcian.

Mannix was making his way to the palace. He had been told to
arrive to the location, per the Lady Alexis instructions. Over
his shoulder he carried a bag with 4 of his better works in tow.
He even had borrowed one of his more recent masterworks from the
Haga Sofia. He wasn't sure how intereting the work would be but
when someone asked how good he was, he liked to put his best
foot forward. He was confident in his skills and more than happy
to prove that competence.
He came to the gate and he spoke to the man, telling them he was
here for an appointment with Lady Alexis. He let them look in
the bag and then waited to be ushered in. Fortunately he had
double checked on the appointment with a messenger earlier.

escorted him to a Staricase descending*

Mannix nodded and made his way down the stairway. He knew there
was an underground to the palace but he was surprised how long
he staircase was. Still, he was fine to travel down it
carefully. He had been in more than a few dark stairways in his
day. He continued down.. watching for the lady to be there.

*he reached the bottom where he saw a dimly it area maybe a 100
feet away. In the Dim light she could see a body moving in it*

He smiled and walked over toward the light the voice indicated.
This was interesting to say the least.
"Lady Alexis?"

if i am not then she will certainly not like this
*she was walking around a body on a table seemingly very gaunt
pale dead possibly but he was unsure*

Mannix walked closer to the light and the woman.
"But do you Lady Alexis, that is the question? And if so how
hard?"
He looked at the body and then back to her.
" I believe you wished to see examples of my work?"

He was loath to set his books next to the dead body, though it
seemed dry enough. Maybe. If there was an empty table she
indicated he would set the books on it, taking them out of the
bag. They were some fine books, including the miniature of The
book of Michael, And a book of plants and herbs. 5 books in
total, showing examples of several styles of illustration as
well as showing styles from poetic and fancy to businesslike and
proper.
"The attentions of one such as yourself are sure to make me
blush Lady Alexis. Well, if I could blush anymore. Is this what
your book is to be about? Vivisection?"

About the Body itself alive and dead
*she came to the table and rinsed her hand and dried them on a
cloth picking up the books and walking into the darkness as she
came upon a place and turned on some lamps*
