not so much as asked but brought to realize there is more to
life after death. . . so it in away was a choice as it always is
for us

so if you were given a choice you would be this/ or would you
have chosen a different path?

Mannix frowned thinking.
"I am not sure another path was open to me other than living a
short studious life in a monastery. No, I would have picked
having my eyes opened and being exposed to a world of ideas,
knowledge, wonders, pleasures and given the time to enjoy them.
To become more than a simple Monk. I will admit there are things
I miss. The feeling of sunshine. I never had a child or found
love. Many of the pleasures of life ae.. less bright, faded.
Still, I would want this life I believe."

I ment there are Different Families if you had your choice or
would you remain the Toreador had the opportunity been given. .
. besides no one wants a short life. . . just don't always get
what one wants. . Like for instance
*she made a motion as a young girl maybe 12 came into the light*
She wants to live but she wishes to be older but the two are not
ment to be. . . . which would you choose?
*she was beyond a beauty at such a young age as she stood there
in a beautiful gown nt showing any signs ofsomethign wrong*

Mannix thought about that.
"I do not know. I believe this family encourages my art more
than any other would. I do not know enough about the other clans
to be able to really answer it well. I can say that I am not
angry at being Toreador. But I would have to know more about the
other clans before I could say I fit somewhere else better."
He looked at the girl, being reminded of Petra, though Petra was
younger.
"Death can always be given, life cannot. If my choices were
dying or living on stuck in a young body, I would choose life.
Then I would seek knowledge that would allow me to age or at
least appear older. We have one in this city that could sculpt
her to appear older. And that ones father could probably even
make her the height and weight of an older woman. For a price.
Others know secrets that would allow one to cloak themselves in
the appearance of an older person. It is said there are those
that can make you believe such a transformation through every
sense, ncluding touch.. though I do not know anything about
them."

knowing these others exist would you have chosen a different
path then a Toreador . . your work could have continued in any
Clan. . .

He allowed her to sit on his lap, smiling a the girl for a
moment before looking back at Alexia.
"Like I said, while I know other exist, and i know something
about several of them, I do not know that much about most of
them. Those I do.. no I would have picked Toreador over them
all. I am not made for the life of ventrue or brujah, nosferatu
or malkavian, Tremere or tzimische. And in many of those clans,
my art would have taken a very different turn."
