Valencia 2 - 1 Tottenham
Delighted to win our first ever trophy against Tottenham
reserves, which was a welcome distraction from the league. Goals
by our powerful front two of Gotze and Rapadori either side of
half-time turned round a result after going behind early on.
Spurs' misery was complete in the final minute when Aurier saw
red but in truth the game was already up by the time he got his
marching orders. It was perhaps a little harsh on our opposition
after quite a close game which could have gone either way. We're
definitely very pleased to have finally beaten them this season.

Valencia 2-1 TOTTENHAM
I always knew this would be a difficult game but still decided
to employ a bit of squad rotation, although the team I picked
had won on a few occasiosn before but perhaps it was tempting
fate a bit too much. Valencia were unlucky in our league
matches so perhaps it was karma that they got a result. I am a
little disappointed as I thought this was a trophy that we
could've (and perhaps should've) won but take nothing away from
Warthog, his team has had to play 3rd fiddle at time this season
as he chased us and Marseille in the league so maybe in a way
this is deserved.
