BRAZIL RACE REPORT ASF:
Q: DNQ -> 10th I was typing to Cam who got disconnected before
the race began and I pulled way off traffic but this stupid game
puts you back on track when you go into message mode. ::) so I
guess I was in plenty of people's way and it DQ'd me.
R: 3rd Was past Paul, Josh, and Striker before turn 1 and went
to work on Kiwi for most of the lap. I was able to get the job
done by turn 4 when Kiwi ran wide, and then I went to work on
Beno :-X for the next 2 or 3 laps. Tried a couple of times down
the front straight but couldn't do it and then finally got right
up alongside right before the front straightaway and with DRS I
was able to get all the way down the straight before him and
past into T1. I had a poor exit out of the sweeping turn 3 and I
could see that both Red Bulls behind me were breathing down my
neck. I gave Ben plenty of room into turn 4 but he didn't try
it...then coming out of turn 5 I stayed all the way out to the
right side of the track cus I saw Ben's arrow and his car drove
directly into the left side of me and I went sideways up the
entire straightaway at full speed (which shows that the crash
was all due to lag and I was never on Ben's screen) and I flew
right off the outside of the track and damaged the front wing. I
soldiered on about 10 sec behind the crew, and pitted on lap 7
for new primes.
I was gaining ground on Ben (drive-thru perhaps..?) and when the
rain began to fall towards the end of the stint, I was able to
easily get past him. I pitted on lap 17 for inters and Ben came
out ahead again. I passed Gazza at turn 12, and then was able to
easily dispose of Ben as well putting me up to 3rd.
The rest of the race was just about being as smooth as I could,
and although I made a few mistakes, I was faster than Macca up
ahead. Wasn't able to pull it off though..Macca was too fast :P
Congrats to Macca on the championship win...well-deserved!
Consistency definitely won you the war this season 8)

Q - 1
I've obviously been away too long. Forgot to load my setup and
went out on primes with the default settings! Managed a 1:09,
which i thought was pretty good. As I was driving round I was
thinking that it would be quite good to be able to create a
lobby where people are forced to use the default setup. In the
end I had a go on options and got a 1:07.1 I think. Wasn't a
great lap but good enough for pole. I always seem to have good
pace at Sao Paulo.
R - 1
Nice clean start, with Livo slotting in behind me. We pulled
away from the field, overtaking each other a couple of times.
After the first stops Livo was just ahead, but stuck behind
Striker who was now leading, having stayed out a bit longer.
Then as we were coming up to complete lap 7 or 8 Livo tried to
go down the inside of Striker while I suppose striker was trying
to get into the pits and there was contact. It all happened
right in front of me but I couldn't really say if anyone was to
blame. Unfortunately it put them both out of the race. I was
pretty lucky not to get caught up in it myself. Not sure why it
didn't result in a safety car.
After that I had a very lonely race, just cruising around and
making sure I had a 20+ sec lead over Macca, so that I had a
pitstop in hand. I pitted one lap too late both for inters and
then wets later on, but I think Macca did the same. For some
reason he lost 5+ seconds when we went in for wets and my lead
went up to 30 sec. I was closing up on someone for the last 5 or
so laps of the race, but I didn't want to risk lapping them just
in case we tripped over each other, so I just held position
behind them.
I'm sure it would have been a very close race all the way with
Livo if he hadn't crashed out. I think I might have just had the
edge in pace over him today, but I would say that!

to start a fresh season with all the old and new drivers.Castrol
are you coming back to join us in season 2 ?
gazza when do we start the new season ?
if there is an uneven number of drivers im happy to go solo ?

me just seconds before the timer went in the lobby anyway shit

Q= 3rd R=2nd
Had a pretty good qualy session and just pipped Gaz for third.
First few laps was pretty intense with Gaz and I trading places
a few times. Had a good run on him on the run down to turn one
on the second lap but I outbroke myself and ran wide. Bugger!!!
Once I got in front I was able to slowly pull away. Cant
remember what lap It was but I couldnt believe my eyes when it
came up on my screen that Livo and striker crashed out. That
means I only needed two points to claim the championship so I
just concentrated extra hard at not making a mistake.
Once the rain started toward the end of my prime stint I thought
about taking a gamble with tires to maybe make up some of the
twenty odd second gap to nashy. In the end I thought better of
it and decided to go concervative and change to the inters for a
few laps followed by the full wets.
Good win Nash and sorry you had the DNF Livo as you would have
had the championship in the bag.
To be honest Im probably more proud of holding onto the
constructors without my teamate ::)

Does this mean I get to choose car and teamate for season two? I
remember I think we agreed the drivers champion could choose his
season two teamate as long as that driver didnt finish in the
top three??? Also how will the rest of the cars and drivers be
allocated?

Yes Macca you get the choice of cars and team mate. The rest
will be drawn from a hat.
