Went out and did a handful of laps and when I was a whole second faster I stuffed it up under braking in the last corner. Should've been higher on the grid. R: 2nd; honestly quite a boring race for me...I have yet to see a successful turn 1 in this race in any league, and as usual I am the one who finds himself backwards after a couple of corners ::) . So I did what I did best and that's play catch-up. I clawed my way back up through the field, got past Stubbs and Moss in one corner when they both missed the brakes at the last corner, and from then on I had zero action. My whole prime stint I literally was not even trying. I was driving smoothly and not aggressively whatsoever because all I wanted to do was just bring the car home. The gap to Moss little by little was expanding behind me so I could tell that he was struggling (or the car was not performing). Don't know how I feel about this format from a "frontrunner" perspective. I don't think the car performance to talent ratio really is going to make this league racing interesting for anyone but maybe people have a different opinion .... Livolay drove that Williams like it was a Red Bull for god sake ... #Post#: 2811-------------------------------------------------- Re: RACE REPORTS & PREVIEW - FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX OF EUROP E By: livolay Date: January 29, 2013, 3:33 am --------------------------------------------------------- Quick race mode PB: 1.36.9 (Mclaren) Q: 3rd. Well done Gazza! R: 1st. Started on aggressive fuel strategy. Passed striker on the start & took the lead when Gazza went into the barrier at T1. Increased my lead but couldn't get the fastest lap of the race. Well done kartdude for that accomplishment! Overall thoughts: I liked having 2012 car performance. Did you? #Post#: 2812-------------------------------------------------- Re: RACE REPORTS & PREVIEW - FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX OF EUROP E By: kartdude45 Date: January 29, 2013, 3:40 am --------------------------------------------------------- q 4th race 7th, had the pace, but i kept making mistakes. sorry to striker for turn 1 :( i like the 2012 settings but i think some people need to move around abit. :P #Post#: 2813-------------------------------------------------- Re: RACE REPORTS & PREVIEW - FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX OF EUROP E By: camstubbs86 Date: January 29, 2013, 3:52 am --------------------------------------------------------- Q - 7th. even tho i was on the primes i just didnt have the pace. from earlier prac i was consistently .5 of the Rosso/ 1.5 of the sauber/williams/ferrari R - 3rd. (4th but moss recieved a bad one if he posts a vid im sure we can remove it if its un justified) got thru all the carnage at t1/t2 and found myself behind the williams. he was building a solid gap to me. i was about 2.5secs per lap slower. i was qwikly caught by moss, then drew. i sorta held drew for a bit then found myself catching moss slowly on his wearing options. i made my only really bad error of the race when i locked up at the last hair pin undoing all my hard work. i pitted when due and come out in 6th 8 secs behind moss. over the next 13 laps i get this done too zilch, and along the way have challenges from kart, and gazza and i think striker too but they all made errors. Overall i was happy with how i raced tonight. in a very slow car i only made 1 error and that was the lock up at the last hairpin. i defended well and held my nerve from some of the "now faster racers". If everyone got thru t1 cleanly i would have been lucky not to come last. the force india is well sub par compared to the likes of the williams and sauber and lotus possibly. and if the others kept it clean it would have been me and moss bringing up the rear lol. allthough we can gather good information on how we can rate each car. our next move. put moss and myself up a higher car, im happy to team with him, at sauber say. striker can go to williams. angryman can move up into rbr or mclaren, etc because lets face it. if gazza or kart didnt make errors they would have rolled everyone including livo. and i dont think anyone deserves the STR or FI #Post#: 2814-------------------------------------------------- Re: RACE REPORTS & PREVIEW - FORMULA 1 GRAND PRIX OF EUROP E By: Moss Date: January 29, 2013, 3:53 am --------------------------------------------------------- Q6th. Could've been way up but never got it right on last corner. R 3rd (bumped down to 5th with a 10 s penalty) Started good off the line past a bunch of wrecked cars then found my self squeezed bettween gazza (who had spun) and Andrew. I had no room Andrew comes from the outside arround me and my wheel touched his, then he spins and I got a penalty. Then I passed a struggled stubs. My options were waring fast so I pitted lap 9. Had a little battle with gazza and kart dude. After everyone pitted I got my 3rd place back and just drove a lonely hopeless race. Toro rosso= no grip, too much understeer, bad acceleration, bad brakes, and by far the worste car in the field. Probably would've been the same if I used a catherham In qualy if I don't do maximum I won't be even mixed with u guys And in the race every lap has to be a quali lap. A car that struggled to get into q2 cannot match with all of u. And getting third is just surprising ***************************************************** DIR Next Page
