I always just roast my brussels sprouts with olive oil, sea salt and pepper and have never thought of adding anything else. I need to be more adventurous. One of my favorite restaurants here is a Russian restaurant and my favorite dish is listed below: Brussels Sprouts & Cauliflower (GF, V) ADJIKA, GEORGIAN PESTO, WALNUTS & CILANTRO The vegetables clearly are roasted, but I haven't been able to determine what's in the Adjika or the Georgian pesto. It's not really like Italian pesto. The recipes online indicate you can make it with a wide variety of herbs (but always cilantro as well). On the internet, adjika is a bright red salsa type sauce which uses tomatoes, but I don't see red in the restaurant dish, so either it's very minimal or there is a variation without tomato. Whatever, it's delicious. Clearly I need to do some experimenting. #Post#: 224988-------------------------------------------------- Re: Roasted Brussels sprouts with raisin vinaigrette By: MidwestmikkiJ Date: December 16, 2023, 2:34 pm ---------------------------------------------------------
Roasted Brussels sprouts are tasty and not new to me, but I am intrigued by the raisin vinaigrette to goes with the Brussels sprouts in this recipe: HTML https://veganyackattack.com/2012/12/10/roasted-brussels-sprouts-raisin-vinaigrette/ HTML https://media0.giphy.com/media/NRfPLTYnTEW5i/200.gif
I’m sort of indifferent to raisins but this looks good. I’d leave out the coconut since it isn’t a favorite and is such a distinct flavor. #Post#: 224990-------------------------------------------------- Re: Roasted Brussels sprouts with raisin vinaigrette By: Thetis099 Date: December 16, 2023, 2:39 pm ---------------------------------------------------------

Roasted Brussels sprouts are tasty and not new to me, but I am intrigued by the raisin vinaigrette to goes with the Brussels sprouts in this recipe: HTML https://veganyackattack.com/2012/12/10/roasted-brussels-sprouts-raisin-vinaigrette/
I am going to have to try this. I haven't eaten at a Russian restaurant that served Adjika, but Astoria has a Bosnian restaurant. I loved that place before the GI wreck. Ajvar with bread and Sarma or Bosanski Gulas' were my favorites for lunch on a cold, wet day. The Kafa and Bosanski espresso are both delicious, and I dream of the house made Bosnian style baklava.
