Accessing Old Forum Posts.

The old forum, which we have all used for years had a massive
amount of information from experienced members who had seen most
S800 problems first hand. Has all this 'knowledge' been lost in
the transition to the new forum?
Can we, or Club Officials gain access to this, or possibly
collect the files into an online archive?
Let's hope it's not lost forever.

We definitely won't be losing the information from the old
forum! We are discussing this on Monday as to how best to store
and utilise the information within the old forum.
Sadly the old forum providers didn't have a way of exporting the
information (nor the list of users) to the new forum. We were
loathe to swap but when it became difficult for many members to
access the old one the change was essential.
We will let you know what we decide but losing it isn't an
option!

Is there any update on the access to the 'Old' forum posts. I've
been tempted to search for a few topics for myself but it's a
source of ideas/information that's lost at present.

Very soon.
Plan A was to remove all the details from the old one and post
it on the Club website. That became a huge task. so plan B is to
make the old forum accessible but not 'usable.
Its a bit complicated but we think we have an answer.
Crucially we want it accessible to all members whether they had
joined the old forum or not and that's been the nub of the
issue.

The link to the old forum is within the Members Only area. We
took the view that since members mostly created the information
it should be for members.
