RP Rules

just a few simple rules to follow, nothing difficult.
1) NO 1 sentence posts, try to make up ATLEAST 3 or a paragraph
(7).
2) NO powerplay.
3) NO godmoding.
4) NO text talk.
5) Non-RP related talk seperated (ie. (text), [text] etc.)
6) puleeaaaaaase use proper grammar, please?
now, explenation time.
1: because, if you have many people involved in an RP, and you
use too many 1 sentence posts. you get this effect:
Bob: *walks up to the whatshallIcallit* heya
whatshallIcallit: hi
Linda (who was sitting there with WhatshallIcallit): hey
Bob: do you like cheese?
whatshallIcallit: umm no
*at this point Linda is offline*
Bob: how about peanuts?
whatshallIcallit: NO
etc.etc.etc
this can ruin an RP, and I promise that people will leave it.
the same thing happened to me on a RP forum.
2: Powerplay, well, this is easy, no:
Bob: *dashes forward, his fur flowing in the wind, and comes
down to an abrupt halt as he bites down on WhatshallIcallit's
neck, digging his teeth in he glares at her and snaps her neck*
now, what was the powerplay in that?

try to avoid this please, I know many people rp immature, but
this is not the way to RP either, you can't control what happens
to another character, you can only influence.
3: godmoding, everyone knows this, let's take the last example:
whatshallIcallit: *uses magic to instantly regenerate her broken
neck, she glares at Bob, ready to kill*
now whoa whoa whoa, ^THAT can't just happen cause she would be
dead (but she wouldnt because it was powerplay, but lets not
take that in acoord now shall we?)
so whatshallIcallit is basicly godmoding at this moment, it
involves you making your character immortal.
not everything is godmoding though, every upside has it's
downside, so as long as your uber powers have a downside which
is about just as "strong", it's not godmoding.
4: text talk, that's easy:
whatshallIcallit: I hate you!!! >:( lol
ok, here we go ^ ^text talk
6:grammar. yeah, I'm one of those grammar nazi's, I just can't
STAND bad grammar (even though I sometimes do it myself), it's a
pain in the ass to read, so please, try and keep your grammar
normal (if you have some sort of disorder that does something to
your spelling or writing or whatever, don't mind this)
however, character specific speech/accent is allowed:
Bob: oi, what 'chu doin' ovah there?!
so yeah, that's about it when it comes to rules, got anything
you guys want me to add just send a PM :)
