This is possibly by fav Spector production and it's a later one too from '74. It has everything thrown in including the kitchen sink! More drama than you can shake a stick at. SWI [/quote] Not sure if I'd ever heard "Boys Town" before SWI, though having just watched some of the TV programmes that were on this week "moving to boys town" doesn't seem such a great idea. I think that when it comes to Spectoresque tunes it's difficult to top the Righteous Brothers "Soul & Inspiration" … funnily in Britain it is virtually forgotten, though back in The US in '66 it was a bigger hit than "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" was the year before!! Run' which was never released in the UK was said to be a Spector rip-off but I never thought of it as such! John Madara and Dave White produced a few Spector-influenced gems. Here is Maureen Gray:- HTML https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qGU52K4vqiQ And the Bobbi-Pins:- HTML https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11hR5xZkgrA And Johnny Caswell:- HTML https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1GGPsHiLx0 Great tunes! Here, Sonny & Cher take on a Ronettes tune:- HTML https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vGmx7FvqL0 SWI #Post#: 5429-------------------------------------------------- Re: That Spector Sound By: humboldt Date: September 24, 2020, 1:52 pm --------------------------------------------------------- 'You Baby' is a great fav of mine. ***************************************************** DIR Next Page
