By: WestTexasKing Date: February 25, 2013, 9:07 pm --------------------------------------------------------- What is an 87 1/2? Only differences with the 87's were the axle splines. #Post#: 11957-------------------------------------------------- Re: blaster frame? By: qracer250alllday Date: February 25, 2013, 9:39 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Not to sure not many differences besides the splines but it says right on the plate 87 n 1/2 ill try and take a pic tomorrow and post it on here #Post#: 11966-------------------------------------------------- Re: blaster frame? By: pcs Date: February 25, 2013, 9:55 pm --------------------------------------------------------- ive tried both honda 24 spline and yamaha 24 spline on an 87 24 spline axle and the honda did not fit but the yamaha did. the honda splines are slightly different. if you have worn splines on the axle and or the hub the might fit. if you heat the hubs and like using hammers then it shouldnt be an issue. #Post#: 11969-------------------------------------------------- Re: blaster frame? By: qracer250alllday Date: February 25, 2013, 9:58 pm --------------------------------------------------------- Yeah I've heard a few people had trouble getting the honda hubs to fit #Post#: 11971-------------------------------------------------- Re: blaster frame? By: pcs Date: February 25, 2013, 10:01 pm --------------------------------------------------------- i have a really nice 24 spline axle in a box, tried 3 sets of yamaha (2 banshee, triZ/blaster) and 3 sets of honda hubs( 200x atc, 400ex, 450r.) only the yamaha fits #Post#: 11980-------------------------------------------------- Re: blaster frame? When the swap over changes happened at the factory the bulk of 250s in late 87 early 88 got 26 splines and then random one's got a 24 spline till they were gone. #Post#: 12105-------------------------------------------------- Re: blaster frame?
