It does add a little flavor to your life.  Most people keep a stash of food and
water, enough to take care of their families for 3 - 4 days, and some way to
cook it, during the hurricane season.

My inside joke is that if the earth would end, it would take the people of
South Louisiana a while to notice.  We'll just keep on going like we do for a
hurricane.
