Subj : Re: Trouble with random ANSI display To : Don Epi From : Avon Date : Sun Jan 23 2022 04:06 pm On 22 Jan 2022 at 07:28p, Don Epi pondered and said... DE> press "+" a random ANSI file is displayed... of course, I did it putting DE> 30 or so files with the same name: ANSIFILE.ans and ANSIFILE.an1, DE> ANSIFILE.an2, etc... so Mystic display them randomly... DE> DE> Well it doesnt work anymore! It displays only two different ones (the DE> same) skipping nearly 30 of them... curious, because it worked!! yes there is a new file naming convention implemented. [snip] - The old random display file system is gone so if you have the .ana, .anb type files you will need to update them to use the "new" system that is being brought over from the Mystic 2 build. + New display file random system. If for example the base filename of the display file is "test" then you can make any additional files with a .# after the base filename and one of them will be selected randomly. The old system had a limit of 36 random ANSIs per display file but this system has no limits. For example: test.ans test.1.ans test.2.ans test.10.ans Mystic will randomly select and display one of the above files.
