Subj : Linux: Auto boot mis SERVER not DAEMON To : All From : 2twisty Date : Fri Apr 01 2022 12:50 pm I like the status screen that MIS SERVER provides. However, since I want to auto-boot the BBS when the linux box boots, I am forced to use DAEMON. I know it's not the "best" way, but I am doing this in rc.local with sudo -u to run everything as an unpriv user. It's working; however, I'd really like to be able to run SERVER for the nice status display on the console...but I can't seem to figure that out without having to automatically log the unpriv user on and do it in their individual profile. Aside from doing that, any other ideas? --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A47 2021/12/24 (Linux/64) * Origin: The Ratrace Losers (21:3/166) .
