I don't I use an environment var but in the past I use a ./

e.g.  ./mis poll 21:1/100

I noticed g00r00 a while back added a switch in each Event setup such that you could remove that ./ from the shell line and turn the switch on to get Mystic to add it instead for Linux style OS
