Subj : Python and Mystic revisited To : All From : Gryphon Date : Tue Apr 22 2025 04:07 am I know this has been asked before, but I thought I'd try again. I can't get python to work with Mystic. and I hope somebody might be able to help. I'm running Mystic 1.12 A49 on Ubuntu 24.04LTS running on a x86 VM. When I do a "file mystic", I get this: mystic: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), dynamically linked, interpreter /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2, for GNU/Linux 2.4.0, stripped Somebody mentioned that my python installation has to have the same arch type of mystic so I checked python and it is amd64. So the OS and python and mystic are 64bit, but does running amd64 python cause a problem? Ubuntu comes default with python3 and I did try to install python2 but that didn't make any difference. I ended up deleting python2 and now just run python3. I've tried entering the full path/filename of the python libs in the mystic config and it still fails. I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to do. If anybody else has any thoughts, I'd be happy to try them. "Amy Pond, there's something you better understand about me 'cause it's important, and one day your life may depend upon it.
