     PETA: People For the Eating of Tasty Animals.  Someone around here used to 
say that, think it was Vineberg.  I recently spent the better par of a week 
tooling around the California desert looking for a site to deploy our 
communications equipment for an exercise.  One of the prospective sites we'd 
have had trouble with the local tree hugger contingient.  I suggested posting a 
sign advertising Tortoise soup, $5 a bowl.  Apparently these people have zero 
sense of humor...
