  The commits need to be there in order to 'revert' to them, and they're not;  
at least not in the repo checkout ("clone") that I have.
I'll just need to get with them (Andrew and Vince) about it.

  In general, a distros' package manager is for installing things for system 
wide use, not just a particular user...
