HAHAHA RL> RL> No, that's in the Constitition. RL> Dred Scott was once the law of the land. If it wasn't for that Hallmark Supreme Court decision. Abe Lincoln would not have been riled up enough to into politics and run for office. Abe ran for office as a anti-slavery candidate and won. There was a 5 year civil was where 100s of thousands of people. History books say ~630K people died. History books also say that number is closer to 900K... The south stopped counting and bodies drifted down the rivers. Apparently the ruling was "Constitutional". Great news, the anti-slavery group won the war and freed the slaves kinda. Dred Scott was still the law of the land so the 13th, 14th and 15th Amendments were needed to codify all the great work of the people at that time. Ron, I need some latitude to explain some of my thinking here, please! In the mid 60s they passed laws allowing for redistricting (constitutional) BUT (and a big one) the democrats argued that blacks would run for office and the white Democrats wouldn't vote for them... so... Gerrymandering became the focus for the Democrats. LBJ, said during his presidency that he'll have the N-Word people voting Democrat for the next 200 years. It was what I mention above and a bunch of other things that helped make that possible. So... We either have 140 years to go with LBJ's prediction or the Jig is up. I argue the jig is up. Historically the Democrats twist and turn things that are constitutional and do whatever it takes to exploit the system to gain power. They are sick and do not give a sh!t about anybody at all. -=MY THOUGHTS=- Something happened recently with the Supreme Court. A decision was made with Texas redistricting. The Democrats argued that if Texas were able to go through with this it would negatively affect black voters... Apparently Blacks are monolithic voters and vote for Democrats only... I said that sarcastically!!! I'll paraphrase the portion of the decision that has radically changed with the Supreme Court. .... States can redistrict and the assumption should be made that the State acted in good faith when doing so, even if blacks and minorities are negatively affected. <---- Important!!! This exact paraphrase is what has changed (GRIN) in the Courts thinking. Prior to Joe Biden I think the courts would have sided with the Democrats. Today the courts have seen the Democrats working their magic buy squeezing TF out of things to gain power. Its sick how they do this. They don't care about their constituents and they openly hate the country and want to see it fail. Trump has had to petition the courts to make emergency decisions to help fight off the Democrats and their Lawfare. The Supreme Court interprets the law as it relates to the Constitution. Back in the 60s when white Democrats wouldn't vote for a black Democrats if their life depended on it... 60 years later the country is in a different place and the courts said... The assumption should be that the legislators acted in good faith even though minorities are affected negatively. I think the voter rights act of the 60s will or is soon to be moot with courts that think this way. Having said that... We know what the constitution says about elections... I say that congress can add some oversight and regulations to the mix. For example... It's election day not election 6 months. Voter roles need to be cleaned up, dead people, illegals and people who have moved out of the area need to be deleted from the rolls. If there are mail in ballots they need to be requested by the individual and not just randomly sent out. FOR ME... If my ballot is not at the site by 4PM on election day it does not get counted. I have to prove who I am and my signature has to match the one on file for it to be counted as well. If I'm in the country I hand deliver it to the elections office because there are no unattended voting boxes to drop it off at... This is Florida and not N.Y. No machine counting and paper ballots on special paper that can be differentiated from the fraudulent ballots. Voter ID and proof that you are a citizen. This is important... If there is a challenge it needs to be dealt with publicly and thoroughly so that "The People" are satisfied that the Democrats haven't found an other way to squeeze the F*ck out of the system. None of what I said is in the constitution... But these are nice things they can add to assure the voters the election was fair and administered well. If your state is messed up you can move. I know Michigan is not as bad as New York... BUT if it falls you can move. And if you move... People in Red States will welcome you in with open arms. The Democrats take a beautiful and well thought out document like the Constitution. The founding fathers had no way to predict what the Democrats would do to the system. Things within a Republic sometimes takes time to work its way though. There are checks and balances and processes needed. That's about it. Ohhh... I did read your entire message... I just emptied my clip on this one topic. IB Joe, Pronouns (FJB/LGB) AKA Joe Schweier SysOp of 4A 6F 65 73 42 42 53 -=JoesBBS.com=- ....
