RL> RL> The Republican Party was started as an anti-slavery party, so that would RL> make sense. RL> RL> Which would mean that the Dems are the pro-slavery party, which also RL> makes sense. RL> If I were around in 1860 I would have grabbed my musket and joined in on freeing the slaves. RL> RL> You missed a few things. RL> RL> 1. Blacks were elected to gov't office - but all were Republican. RL> 2. We need to understand that there are 2 "classes" of blacks: a) The RL> productive ones that adopted european values. They lived in the North RL> for a long time. b) The animalistic ones that adopted the white-trash RL> southern culture. RL> 3. Blacks in the north had spend decades/generations proving themselves RL> as upstanding people - and were successful. RL> 4. But the Dems pushed the trashy ones up from the South into those RL> Northern areas to erode, and later, reverse much of the Northern black's RL> progress. RL> I didn't miss this... Recall the Wilmington massacre?? Where White Supremacists, AKA Democrats, killed a town of Duly Elected black and as well as black business leaders with a growing middle class... The atrocities committed by the Democrats in are too numerous to count. I argue that "ALL" things that has caused the US grief has been caused by the Democrats... My point is/was more tailored. I think things are changing. I think we've moved away from Dred Scott like rulings to things more mainstream and reasonable. As I pointed out in my last message the verbiage used in the Texas redistricting decision. If the new laws and Justices are "Interpreting" the Constitutionality of these laws with that in mind the ăDemocrats will find it hard to marginalize this group (blacks) of people. I think the democrats are aware of this and its why they are importing voters because the Blacks are buying their brand of Bull Shit any more. RL> RL> At some point here, and I'll have to refer back to a Thomas Sowell book, RL> the Dems created the Welfare state and, for the first time since the RL> Civil War, blacks started voting Democrat. Up until then, they knew RL> which party freed them and what party wanted to enslave them. But the RL> need for free stuff overrode that. RL> we need more Thomas Sowells and less Democrats. RL> RL> What happened was that the southern trash blacks caused a polarization of RL> neighborhoods. Ex: Harlem in NYC. RL> RL> So the areas of Democrat sheep were small and localized. And productive RL> blacks and whites wanted to keep them out of their neighborhoods. RL> RL> Just take a look at the "heat map" of the 2024 election (heck, just RL> about every election). The "blue" areas were only around big cities RL> while 90% of the country was Republican. RL> RL> The only way for Dems to scam more power was to Gerrymander - but that RL> had been going on for a long, long time. RL> And I think (hope) that people see what the Democrats have done over the centuries and they are. OMG, the past is sick. We need to calibrate our accomplishments and move forward as a group. I'm not going to feel bad about what the Democrats did during the slavery era and I would HOPE that blacks today would stop letting the Democrats victimize them any more than they already have. Ron, I don't want to be misinterpreted, I personally don't see color I see people. I have people in my life from all walks of life... If you are in my life its because your a nice person, that's it. We need to not listen to the Democrats trying to push wedge issues and work together to be a better country. America 1st!!! RL> RL> The jig was up a while ago. That's why the Dems needed to import their RL> voters. RL> I said this a few lines up... I would vote for ANY candidate of ANY color or Gender... Gay (if they are normal) or straight... I don't care. I just want to see the world as a better place for my children and grandchildren. I hope that in 200 years they look back in the History books positively about the changes we are working for. RL> RL> "Rules for thee, but not for me." RL> I know... Hopefully they can cleanse the Deep State out and expose the Elites for who they are and advance the country in the best way for the people. While others from other countries do the same for their countries... And this is happening. Argentina's President is trying, Chile just voted a conservative in... Japan did the same... Recently Finland's leadership has spoken out against the EUs immigration policies... All the countries of the world needs good patriots to fight for their rights and culture. There is nothing I can do for Argentina's culture and rights more than someone who cares deeply than a patriot can. This is why Javier Milei, Argentina's President, has done such a great job and has the support of his country. There are other countries out there in the EU working hard for their countries... Italy, Hungary and Poland... They need great leaders and patriots and everything will be fine. I hope the others can find the ability to pull out of the tailspin they are in. RL> RL> Yup. That's why I call them "Elitists". They believe that they are RL> above everyone else and everyone else is just a bug to be stepped on to RL> get what they want. RL> Again, I'm hopeful that things are turning around. Not for me as much as for my decedents. RL> RL> That's part of the Dems' problem. They treat the country as groups of RL> hive-minded people, not as individuals. RL> I find this somewhat depressing. I have always thought that the people of power where here to help and make things better... I have come to realize that this is not aways true. MTG, Nancy Pelosi... more than those 2... But I always believed that the parties wanted similar outcomes but had different policies to reach those outcome.... Nope, that was a lie RL> RL> As you've pointed out above, they don't care about anyone but themselves. RL> RL> IHMO: This is becomming very appearant to everyone. Only the ones who's RL> hair dye has soaked in to their brain can't see it. That's why the Dem RL> approval is below 20% today. RL> I sent RFK Jr. a message on Truth Social asking him to look into the affects that Blue Hair Die may have on the population. TDS is real and it may be the reason the US fails. If it does fail there will be pictures of Rosie O'Donnell and Kathy Griffin in Text Books... The horror. RL> RL> The Constitution clearly states that the States get to set their own RL> local rules. So this isn't an interpretation. RL> RL> About all the Fed can do is declare that the election was fraudlent and RL> refuse to seat the reps from those states. RL> RL> I know. Its frustrating. I would love to see the Feds walk in to my RL> SoS's office and cart her off for election fraud. But it's outside of RL> their jurisdiction right now. RL> Yes, but no. what you are getting your ideas from... The Elections Clause (Article I, Section 4) :Start The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations except as to the Places of choosing Senators. :Stop But wait there's more.... :Start State Power: States are primarily responsible for the "Times, Places, and Manner" of federal elections. This broad authority allows states to create a complete code for elections, including rules for voter registration, polling locations, ballot design, and vote counting. Congressional Oversight: Congress has the ultimate, "paramount" authority to override or modify state election laws. This power serves as a safeguard against potential state abuses of the election process. Judicial Review: The Supreme Court has determined that while the clause grants significant power, neither states nor Congress can enact laws that violate other constitutional provisions, such as the Fourteenth Amendment's Equal Protection Clause or the right to vote :Stop I agree with everything you say... BUT!!! There are checks and balances and States need not infringe on the rights of their citizens. Other parts of the mechanism has a role if there are rouge States. Could you imagine what elections would be like without checks and balances... Well it would be like 2020... Gore V Bush was ultimately decided by the Supreme Court... Paraphrased the court here... STFU bitches STOP recounting and trying to recount so many times that you find whatever to win... Bush won and we moved on. The primary control is the State. I would argue that the Feds can regulate the paper the ballots go on, so it can't be easily copied, but the State gets to decide how they are designed. I argue that you can have mail in ballots but you can't mail them out without the voter requesting them. What I'm suggesting will maximize voter rights and confidence in the process. Regulate the length of time to count... You can't be receiving and counting ballots for a month past the election. If there wasn't decent regulations outside of the state all while these regulations are checked by the Supreme Court. Some States like California, Illinois, New York and the like would just tell everyone to stay home and enjoy the night because they are going to do whatever they way and your efforts to exercise your rights to vote. we know that some states and the elites and whatnot do not give a sh!t about you and your rights... I think with mild regulations from Congress checked by the Supreme Court you can help cure a skeptic like myself. I don't care if Minnesota reelects Tampon Tim, the Retard, or Omar... and cheat doing so. On the federal side there needs to be something in place to give the voter confidence in the results. I don't trust the bitches, just saying!!! RL> RL> The Feds are doing this right now. 16 lawsuits in Federal Court over RL> this. RL> RL> I think they can force this because the Constitution already says that RL> only citizens can vote. RL> But many states allow illegals to have ID, so voter ID may not be RL> adequate. RL> RL> But they've done so good over the decades of avoiding that. Like RL> throwing Tina Peters in prison. RL> RL> RL> But movement isn't a guarantee that the state you move to will become RL> enshittified later when moving isn't an option. RL> RL> RL> No. Otherwise there would have been an amendment to shoot them on sight. RL> Lets work on some common sense ideas. Well only if the Democrats had one... And Tina Peter's case needs to be in front of the Supreme Court to expose the Democrats for who they really are.
