Trump again

Congrats to our American rightwing brothers!  Trump's victory is
what they hoped for and I understand their joy and optimism.  It
is a lesser evil for sure.

That being said we already have experienced his first term and
it was found rather lacking.  I do not think it will be much
different this time around.  What I and others hope for is it will
start turning the tide.  By that I mean the process of returning
to normalcy.  Many people, even those disconnected from reality
to great extent feel something strange is in the air.  For worse,
not better!  Even a small nudge towards what I call normalcy would
be a great gift from Heaven.  Something we really do not deserve.

Anyway, the circumstances work for Trump.  He is certainly much
less a toxic person than he used to be just a few months ago.
Harris was too hard to swallow even for the Left and Americans
in general seem to be much more open to stronger measures than
they have ever been.

Leftists I talked to say 4 years is short term and I certainly
agree with that but as I said we hope for the fire to spread
elsewhere in the Western world.  It has started in Germany when
AfD gained victory in some regions and Trump's success could 
give it a fresh impetus.  All that pretty much depends on the
way he will spend his time in the office.  The enemy is strong
and smart and is not going to miss any opportunity created by
his mistakes and omissions.

I will certainly do come back to Trump's case in a longer essay
in my native language once I start to write again which I hope
will be soon.
