Enrich Your Itineraries
       There are many ways of going from Faidherbe-Chaligny to Viciennes: via
the Faubourg Saint-Antoine, obviously, or through rue de Reuilly and the
boulevard Diderot, or rue Montreuil and avenue Philippe-Auguste, or rue
Paul-Bert, rue Chanzy and the boulevard Voltaire. Might we find an
itinerary--significantly more complicated--which permits us to scrounge up six-or
even eight-streets with names that all begin with the same letter?

       N.-B. In this game, like in all games of this genre, the word "rue" is
taken in its widest sense and designates "rues" properly called avenues,
boulevards, places, etc.

The Inauguration
    An undersecretary of state, an MP and a municipal counsellor have to make a
speech at the inauguration of a square. They belong to completely opposing
political factions and are very wary of each other. After devious dealings,
they finally agree upon the following protocol:

1. They each speak in turn and at least once;
2. Their entire discourse will not last more than two hours;
3. Every speaker will have to do so in such a way that the speaker that follows
him has double the amount of time than himself. 

   No sooner had they agreed, the MP stands up and begins to speak; when he
finished his discourse, he sat down again, visibly content with himself, while
the undersecretary of state and the counsellor look furious.
