The Archipelago

The good old archipelago 
which left his devils of children of isles
to run about drifting
but when one guy (or one gal)
had got lost
eaten (guy or gal) by some bad volcano
so he decreed and imposed martial law
and shot in the public places and squares
the vanguard of that which brought forth to him this new sadness

The volcano on his side of things made its own
swallowing up the tiny boats
engulfing the largest ships
only excreting crustaceans
which he had cooked well in his stomach 
and that's the reason why the lobsters and turtles 
bother the gut's digestion

Back to the Archipelago
over his shoulder shovel thrown
and took in arms a saw wholly
to mutilate the Stromboli
he ended imprisoned adjudicated 
condemned with a labour forced
but he escaped in the Mexican bay
and throwing himself into the sea made
the famed Antilles whose
main islands we peruse:
Trinity Martinique Dominique Jamaica The Bahamas Haiti Santa-Domingo Puerto Rico and Curacao
