For other computation-intensive tasks (video editing, data processing, etc.), overclocking could provide some benefit in allowing the tasks to finish sooner. But depending on the processor, I don't think I'd risk it. I have an unlocked processor in my desktop PC, with liquid cooling, but still, in 5 years I've never really felt a desire to overclock it..
