Sorry mrproper... in fact that message was posted local to my own bbs... not
sure what sbbs did to send it to DevNet, but I do apologise for that fiasco!
I'd like to say that it's sorted out, but I have no idea what happened.

These messages were sitting happily in my local message groups for months until
yesterday...

In any event you may want to try out Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition. Link is
here: http://www.microsoft.com/Express/VB/

2010 is now open for public beta testing, so you can download that as well for
free, I believe.
