No> Ooo, that's sick, I have always wanted a AE-1. They are great cameras. Shutter priority exposure, take modern batteries, built like tanks, lots of spare parts available. Used ones do get the "Canon Squeak" when the lube dries out. I got a CLA on mine (Clean, Lube, Adjust) and it shot like new. Shoot with the 50/1.8 wide open on Kodak Porta 160VC or Fuji 100 film and be amazed. The FTb I have now is a predecessor - mechanical shutter, match-needle exposure. It takes 1.5v Mercury batteries that aren't made any more, you can either fake it with 1.5v zinc-air hearing aid batteries or get the meter adjusted to use 1.35v silver-oxide batteries. Or just tweak the exposure by a stop... .... Think - inside the work -outside the work --- MultiMail/Win v0.52 þ Synchronet þ .: realitycheckbbs.org :: scientia potentia est :. .
